Merchandising Best Practices

Successful design centers tell a story with products and displays that engage the home buyer. Moen can help you create well-organized, attention-grabbing displays, on a slatwall or in a kitchen and bath vignettes. Merchandising is much more powerful when you build on a theme or capture a lifestyle.

How to Create an Ideal Display

Two prominent locations are the most effective for displaying Moen faucets and accessories–one for bath faucet selections and another for kitchen faucet options.

Ideal kitchen slatwall display:
4' wide x 8' high.

Ideal bath slatwall display:
At least 8' wide x 8' high.

Slatwall panels are most commonly installed 2' above the floor or baseboard molding and 2' from the ceiling or top of the wall.To see planograms, click here.

Moen Display Vignettes

One of the most compelling ways to sell your most elaborate upgrade products is by putting them in the context of a complete kitchen or bathroom with a vignette display. Vignettes help your home buyers visualize how products will look in their new homes, enhancing the likelihood that they'll purchase faucet upgrades or total suites based on their feelings and style preferences, rather than price.

Display Modules

Moen offers three styles of product display modules: a wood module in deep cherry finish, a black laminate upgrade module, and a basic black module.

The module style and color you should select should reflect your personal preference, coordination with slat wall color and the module lead time for delivery.

Product Selections

Why not dedicate your valuable design center real estate to beautiful upgrade options? If you must display the standard faucet package, minimize its presence, or consider placing it in a discreet location near the upgrade display wall for comparison purposes.

When selecting kitchen and bath products to display in your design center, you’ll want to think about showing the most popular finishes within each product family–without duplicating finish options. For example, if Chateau is your standard offering, then Castleby, Monticello and Kingsley are terrific Moen product upgrade options.
